DevOps Engineer

Our client's application is used by technicians around the world to troubleshoot complex equipment for OEMs. They partner with Bombardier, Airbus Canada, DeHavilland, Gulfstream, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Lockheed Martin (F35 JSF), and Pilatus. Our client develops a software reasoning engine that operates on a Diagnostic Database that contains descriptions of all known failure modes (“Solutions”) for the specific equipment. Additionally, their software is currently used by airlines and MROs around the world to track the health of their fleet. They develop some pretty cool things! The Role

• Managing the company's SaaS product

• Maintaining existing CI/CD frameworks (Git, Jenkins) and developing additional features

• Managing existing public Cloud Environments - AWS/Azure

• Designing and implementing disaster recovery strategy for various company assets

• Ability to create documentation for existing environment and subsystems

• Development and support of Internal tools for test automation, machine provisioning, template deployment, getting logs from production systems


Requirements

Skills Needed

• Strong sense of ownership, self-drive, creativity and innovation

• Basic understanding of distributed systems and databases

• 3+ years of Linux SysOps / Administration

• 3+ years of Azure/AWS experience with an understanding of networking

• Building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and deploying code/infrastructure

• Experience working with git, Jenkins is a must

• Experience with Ansible or similar automation tool

• 3+ years of SaaS product deployment, administration, monitoring

• Tomcat/.NET understanding

• Experience migrating clients from on-prem to cloud

• Exposure to SQL

Nice to Have

• Powershell/Bash scripting

• Understanding of security in the cloud with SSL/Certificate Management/Vaults

• Experience implementing Application and Database cloud native services

• Centralized log management with ELK

• Management of networking and security of cloud and on-prem connectivity

• Solid understanding of IP networking and network devices.
