HCM Specialist - Dayforce

Reporting to the Director, People and Change Leadership, the HCM Specialist will be an integral part of the HR team in ensuring that the system is optimized to support people and business strategies, processes, policies, and technology change. This position would contribute to the evolution, sustainment, and support of our clients Human Resources systems. The HCM Specialist’s primary focus is to evaluate the HCM system to create efficiencies and provide subject matter expertise and day-to-day operational support for Dayforce HCM.


You will contribute to “raising the bar for music rights,” by:

  • Identify areas of improvements and gaps within systems structure, procedures for process improvement and full optimization opportunities
  • Recommend and create efficiencies, through configuration, setting adjustments, workflow, and report development
  • Develop, present, and action annual HCM strategic plan
  • Lead/administer business process design, enhancements, requirements gathering, user stories/test scenario creation, solution configuration, testing and drives deployment
  • Monitor progress, manage risk, and confirm key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
  • Collaborate with Ceridian to leverage the vendor’s expertise and product
  • knowledge to support and lead any project or initiatives
  • Provide subject matter expertise and day-to-day operational support on all modules of Dayforce HCM (i.e., compensation, performance, succession, recruitment, reporting)
  • Work closely with HR business stakeholders to diagnose HR systems-related issues/requirements and troubleshoot solutions to resolve
  • Support annual system processes, upgrades testing and implement required fixes
  • Oversee system security, create, and manage user access, and Ceridian ticketing process
  • Serve as liaison between Human Resources, Project Management, Information Technology to provide systems support and analysis to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of HR, Payroll, and end users of the HCM
  • Lead module or third-party system integration, testing and support or lead functional and user acceptance testing
  • Develop functional documentation including design documents, standard operating procedures, issue logs, and end user guides, as required
  • Create and manage all HR reporting, dashboards, and integration with Power BI or other internal IT systems
  • Offer ongoing business support and training to users at all levels of the organization.


  • Experience with Ceridian’s Dayforce
  • Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with Power BI
  • HCM/HR technology knowledge and implementation experience is ideal
  • Fluent in French is an asset.
