Executive Manager - Publisher Relations

Our client is looking to hire a Executive Manager – Publisher Relations. Their success is based on its ability to respond effectively and flawlessly to the demands and expectations of its members, including publishers. To contribute to this strategic objective, we are looking for an expert who will have the experience to ensure that the organization understands the needs of publishers and collaborates in the implementation of services that will meet these needs. This resource will work within the Membership department, under the direction of the CMO, and will collaborate with the membership management team, as well as with the account executives and call center agents. The role will be first and foremost operational, but also strategic. This person will be expected to proactively maintain excellent relationships with publishers. Finally, the Executive Manager-Publisher Relations will maintain an industry watch for this customer segmentation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Refine our understanding of what publishers are looking for in terms of services and what their priorities are
  • Act as an internal representative of the publishers and explain when and why what we deliver as a service meets the publishers' needs or if adjustments are required
  • Contribute to the implementation of countermeasures if they are not
  • Work as a team, including other departments, to implement countermeasures
  • Oversee correspondence between the organization and publishers, and is the highest level of escalation for all publisher members
  • Work operationally with the Queries, Agents, or Account Executives teams to satisfactorily resolve any issues that require his/her intervention
  • Maintain an industry watch
  • Maybe be called upon by the Communications Department for expertise when the time comes to communicate directly with publishers

Requirements

  • Experience working in the entertainment/music industry
  • Work experience with a publisher (in-house), preferred
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
  • Bilingual in English and French, preferred
